Science, Art Create Unique Painting

Tehran, Sept. 28, 2011: A doctorate neuroscience student at the University of Pennsylvania has created a unique painting of actual trees using human brain cells.
Greg Dunn Enjoyed paints in the Japanese Sumi-e style where inks are applied in different concentrations to produce +wash+ effects, Mail Online reported.
“I particularly love minimalist scroll and screen painting from the Edo period in Japan,†said Dunn who has displayed his paintings in his home country, Canada.
“As I am also a fan of neuroscience, therefore, it was a fine day when two of my passions came together upon the realization that the elegant forms of neurons (the cells that comprise your brain) can be painted expressively in the Asian Sumi-e style,†he added.
The science-art creator believes that although neurons are tiny in scale, they possess the same beauty seen in traditional forms of the medium such as trees, flowers, and animals.
“I admire the Japanese, Chinese, and Korean masters because of their confidence in simplicity. I try to emulate this idea,†he said.
