Tehran, June 21, 2011: Iran+s Cultural Office in London has organized an exhibition of Persian artworks by young Iranian artist Maryam Mirzaei in the British capital.
Tehran, June 21, 2011: Iran+s Cultural Office in London has organized an exhibition of Persian artworks by young Iranian artist Maryam Mirzaei in the British capital.
Iran+s cultural attaché in London Ali-Mohammad Helmi and a number of Iranian and British cultural officials attended the opening ceremony of the event held on June 19, 2011, IRNA reported.
The exhibition displays various Persian art forms such as illumination, miniature and Gol-o-Morgh, a particular style of Persian painting featuring bird and floral motifs in various colors.
Entitled Iranian art of Painting, the exhibition is organized to introduce the rich Iranian and Islamic art to the people of Britain, Helmi said at the opening ceremony.
London-based Iranian Artist Mirzaei says the event is a good chance for visitors to become acquainted with Persian arts and culture.
The exhibition will run for 11 days at Iran+s Cultural Office in London.
