Tehran, May 21, 2011: The French capital of Paris is scheduled to exhibit a collection of Iranian artworks and video installations at the Thaddaeus Ropac Gallery.

Bah Man aims to discourage smoking by presenting a collection of drawings, a statue and a video art illustrating the harmful effects of smoking, ISNA reported.
Organized by Iranian artist Mahmoud Bakhshi-Moakhar, the event exhibits the artistic creations of the 34-year-old artist which he has dedicated to the late Iranian photographer, Bahman Jalali.
“Although he did not teach me in person, Bahman Jalali was the mentor of all of us [young Iranian artists] and I would like to acknowledge my debt to him through this exhibition,†Bakhshi-Moakhar said.
Best-known for his documentary photographs of Iran+s Islamic Revolution, Jalali died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 65 in January 2010.
Born in 1977 in Tehran, Mahmoud Bakhshi-Moakhar got his B.A in sculpturing from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Tehran.
He has held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in group shows in Iran and abroad.
Bakhshi-Moakhar+s works have been displayed in Los Angeles, Paris, London, Athens, Beijing, Freiburg, Frankfurt and Berlin.
He won the 2009 Magic of Persia Contemporary Art Prize (MOP CAP) in London and was rewarded with a solo exhibition of his works at Saatchi Gallery in the autumn of 2010.
