Namaq is situated in a hilly area and many mountains have surrounded this village. It many historical sites,e.g., the tomb of the great Gnostic Sheikh Abol Hassan (Father of Sheikh Ahmad Jaam Namoqi) is located 500 m. from the village in a green plain. Besides there are the remnants of an ancient castle, pre and post Islamic graveyards, a citadel, mosques, and other fine pieces of architecture.
