Ashkezar Village (Ashkizaar, Ashkezaar) is situated in the northwest of Yazd, and has a temperate, tropical climate. Ashkeen Zaal, a feudal lord, built this village during the Parthian period. In order to fight against the moving sands, tamarisk forests can be noted.
