Iran attending Japan’s tourism expo

 Iran is participating in Tourism Expo Japan 2018 which officially opened in Tokyo’s ‘Big Sight’ on Friday.

Organized by Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA), the expo is hosting more than 1,300 companies from 130 countries including Iran.

Representatives from 56 Japanese tourist areas are also taking part in the four-day event.

The Touring & Automobile Club of the Islamic Republic of Iran, along with three other companies, is representing the country in this year’s edition.

Iran’s ambassador to Japan, Morteza Rahmani-Movahed, attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition on Friday as a special guest and held talks with the World Tourism Organization Secretary General Zurab Pololikashvili.

Rahmani-Movahed then visited Iran’s pavilion and talked to the country’s representatives.

Known as Asia’s most visited tourism trade fair, the first two days of the event pertained to holding business and expert discussions by industry professionals.
