The opening ceremony will be followed by honoring the top photographers attending the 2018 edition, Iran’s branch of International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) announced in a press release published on Monday.
The displayed works would be a selection of over 18,000 photos submitted to the secretariat by photographers from 68 countries.
In addition, a photography workshop with the central theme of travel will open on the side section of the exhibit with Ali Samei, the representative of Iran’s branch of FIAP.
The exhibit will be running until August 23 at the academy located on Mozaffar St., off Taleqani Ave. near Felestin Square. The Khayyam exhibit aims to elevate the art of photography and provide facilities for more interaction between Iran and world photographers.
Iran’s Focus Photo Club organizes the exhibition annually with the help of the Photographic Society of America (PSA) and FIAP.
