A collection of documents related to the Naqarekhaneh of the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) will be showcased at the Astan-e Qods Razavi Museum and Library in Mashhad on Tuesday.
Naqarekhaneh is a tower situated in parallel with the minarets of the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS), where a group of musicians performs naqareh, a wind instrument, and tabl, a percussion instrument, for 20 minutes before sunrise and sunset, and during the religious celebrations.
The collection includes over 2,000 documents from the Safavid era to modern times, the library announced in a press release on Monday.
The documents include information about the employees of the naqarekhaneh, their salaries and the instruments kept in there.
The financial documents of the museum are also included in the exhibit.
The library, which is adjacent to the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS), is home to many rare documents and books.
