This special museum maintains about 271 valuable artworks in different fields of painting, miniature, woodcarving, text tiling and many other fields of arts.
The number of foreign tourists visiting the Sacred Defense Museum in Tehran in the past Iranian calendar year (March 2018-19) jumped 80 percent compared with a year earlier.
Iranian museums preserve three million historical and cultural objects, the director of museums and historical properties at Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHHTO) said.
