Russa was one of the Orartoie cities in the 9th century BC., and during the reign of Russa II (the Orartoie ruler) was a flourishing city. Russa II, (son of Argishti II), after the completion of the city, affixed an engraving or inscription. This inscription weighed 110 kg. 72 cm in length, width of 56 cm and 11 cm in thickness. This inscription has 16 engraved lines of script.
