Shah Roknedin Mausoleum

The said mausoleum stands to the east of Dezful, and comprises of the sepulchre, porches and two storeyed buildings. On the structure is a twelve paneled dome. The mode of architecture of the under dome structure relates to the 9th century AH. The southern entrance has a stairway which was used by the elite, and is adorned with arches. The original structure of the mausoleum was constructed during the Teimoorid period. It has been mentioned in records that this mausoleum is the resting abode of a descendant of the seventh Imam of the Shiite sect,i.e., fourteen generations later.
