This vicinity is at a distance of 22 km. from Iranshahr (Iran Shahr). The Bampour River which takes its source in the northeast of Iran Shahr, after flowing westwards from the south of this region, ultimately flows into the Hamoon Jazmoorian. Bampour comprises of both a mountainous and plain region and experiences a hot and relatively humid climate. Dates, fruits, citrus fruits and vegetables are under cultivation here. The ancient Bampour Castle is also located here, which is a relic of the Samanide period.
