Twenty-five kilometers away from Fuman, lies a military complex known as Rudkhan Castle (AKA Qaleh Rudkhan in Iran). Rudkhan Castle has a long history, being one of the most ancient Persian castles. Built in the Sasanid era and later rebuilt during the hey days of Nizari Ismaili state, the castle lies in the midst of the spectacular green of forests in Gilan province.
