Emamzadeh Yahya (Imamzadeh Yahya) or Yahia Mausoleum is located in "Kohneh Gol" sector in Varamin city and was constructed in 707 AH. A turquoise colored tile with the date of 628 AH. has been discovered near this mausoleum which is considered to be one of the most ancient historical relics of Tehran.
Varamin is believed to be the ancient city of Varena, which is mentioned in Avesta. The four-cornered citadel near the city is known as Citadel of Iraj by locals, Iraj was son of Thraetaona and that improves the city's relation to the ancient Varena.
