With increased precipitations across the country, Aq-Gol wetland (Agh-Gol), west-central province of Hamedan, is once again covered with water and play host to flocks of various migratory birds.
Migratory birds such as flamingos, stilts and storks are now nesting the area. Due to the above-normal precipitations re-ceived in the region in the current water year (starting on September 2018) the wetland is now totally filled with water. This is while last year (March 2018-March 2019) only 10 percent of the lakebed was covered with water.
